Wyatt comes to the Halliwell Manor looking for Phoebe, but finds Prue instead.

January 20th, 2016
Halliwell Manor, San Francisco

Prudence Halliwell has been job hunting for a few weeks now since quitting the auction house. She's been working for herself, buying and selling antiques at various estate sales but so for there has been no sign of stable employment. Glancing over the job listings in the paper she is curled up on the sofa in a tank top and yoga pants, the TV on quietly to some cooking show.

There's the familiar sight of someone appearing in a swirl of pale blue lights, but this time it's not Leo. It's a boy of maybe 12 or 13, though he certainly looks a bit like Leo. He must not have sensed ahead, as he seems surprised, though cheerfully so, on seeing Prudence. "Aunt Prue! Hi."

Prudence Halliwell goes from sitting, nibbling on the cap of a highlighter to standing, hands defensively ready in nothing flat. Large wary eyes look at the boy. "Whoa. You are you?" She frowns. "And... why did you just call me Aunt Prue?" She shakes her head, "Nevermind all that. Who ARE you and why are you here??"

Wyatt Halliwell winces. Not in pain, but the flinch of a boy who knows he messed up. "Aunt Phoebe hasn't told you about me? I'm Wyatt. Wyatt Matthew Halliwell. My parents are Piper Halliwell and Leo Wyatt. From the future. And you are my aunt."

Prudence Halliwell stares at the Tween incredulously. "No. No. Phoebe most definately has not told me about you. For that matter neither has Piper. And I'd kind of think she would know about you if you existed." His words slowly catch up to her. "... the future?" Shr rubs her right temple a moment. As if things didn't get more than a little weird around here to begin with. She looks at him. "How do we actually.. know... you're.. who you say you are?"

Wyatt Halliwell bites his lip, and then says, "Mom probably doesn't know about me either. I know dad doesn't, the Elders really don't want to tell him for some reason." The last question has him thinking, "Well, you already know I'm part whitelighter. You saw me orb in. We can go to the Book, you'll see it likes me. Or you can ask me questions, I know a lot about the family. Except, most of what I know hasn't happened yet.." This last, he adds sounding a little unsure.

Prudence Halliwell rubs her temples again. She isn't feeling danger or hair standing up on end but... she sighs. "Just... okay." She looks at him again and sits down heavily. ".... what are you /doing/ here? If you're from the future why would you come back to 'now'?"

Wyatt Halliwell relaxes a little as Prudence sits down. "That was an accident. A demon named Crowley had taken over the underworld, and found a way to open the Wasteland. He brought back almost all the demons ever vanquished and was taking over the world. The Charmed Ones went to stop them, but.. I don't know what happened, but suddenly me, my little brother, and little sister had the Power of Three. We cast a spell to go back and warn mom, I thought we'd just go back a few months. But, I ended up here. I don't know where they are. Or when. Castiel, he's a Seraph, he thinks I was brought here because I was needed to help deal with the cultists who were stealing magic from whole cities. And we did, we stopped them."

Prudence Halliwell listens. She sighs. "So... if you've stopped these cultists.. what is it that you have left to do? Shouldn't you be returning to your.. future? You can't exactly stay here." She doesn't even want to think about the trouble his presence has already caused that should not have happened..

Wyatt Halliwell nods a little, deflating slightly. "They think we're on a whole new timeline. That things have changed so much, they can't send me home. I'm stuck here." He doesn't sound very happy about it either.

Prudence Halliwell pauses. "So... you're -here-, here now?" Her brow knits. "Well that does complicate things." She sighs. "Okay. So. Since I haven't seen Phoebe to get her take, what's.. yours?" She isn't sure she likes this at all. Not even sure she completely believes it. But... the boy is here and he doesn't seem to be evil..but being her nephew as yet not even born? That's... deep.

Wyatt Halliwell steps to sit down in another seat, and says, "Well, I like the new friends I made here. And I like not having demons try to kill me or turn me evil because of that stupid prophecy all the time. I guess that might change, Barbas read my mind and knows about me, so I bet the Source will too. But I miss my brother and sister, and my cousins. And having family that knows I exist." He looks down to his hands, and then says, "But I know enough to think they're right. I can't go home. This timeline is different, even in things I had nothing to do with. Even in things before I got here." He looks back up to Prue, "But it might be good, too. Some bad stuff happened in my timeline. Stuff that might not happen here, or stuff that I can stop because this is a different timeline."

Prudence Halliwell is still trying to absorb all of this and just nods absently as he talks. She pauses, "... cousins...?" She frowns, "wait. I don't want to know." She sighs and nods. "I'm... yeah. this is hard to take in. And I'm sorry.." She is really going to have a talk with Phoebe over this one. She looks to him. "I... don't really know what to say.. Wyatt." As if trying out the name to see how surreal it sounds. She sits back. "What did Phoebe say?"

Wyatt Halliwell grins a little, "She totally freaked out. Especially after he told her about.. Um, maybe I shouldn't. But anyway, she calmed down eventually. She even got me a camera. It's not as good as your old camera I was using in the future, but that's cool. She doesn't have a lot of money, and I'm just learning anyway. It's not like I have to shoot for magazines or anything. It's awesome for me." Then he adds, "She doesn't know I can't go home yet. Last I talked to her, we didn't know that yet. And we were trying to keep me secret from the Elders. We thought them knowing about me might screw things up for mom and dad. But they know about me now anyway, the even gave me a charge. That's really weird, I never had one before, unless you count my brother and sister." He seems to realize he may be chattering a bit too much, and simply adds, "That's why I came here today, to tell her about all that."

Prudence Halliwell knows there is so much she really should ask and even less she wants to know about. She nods a little. "... okay. I'm... going to go have a nervous break down and try /not/ to get completely weirded out that you're Piper's future son. Or that you keep calling me Aunt Prue... you can... stay here if you like. There's food in the kitchen --- Just... no junk food okay? Eat your vegetables." It seemed like the right thing to say as an aunt... right?
