Demonic Hengeyokai
The male equivalent of a Jorogumo, a demonic entity of Orient that takes on human form as a disguise. With temperament and outward persona shifting from each encounter to the next and a natural ability to conceal his true nature to degree that very few would even be able to discern, or know to. Often if not exclusively seen in some capacity tied to Taylor Finlay, though the opposite isn't always true.

COMBAT AND SURVIVAL[]
Expert
Ralrak has spent four hundred years surviving as a tiny creature surrounded by predators and hunting even more for daily survival, specializing in swiftly and decidedly killing what he can and escaping what he cannot. Everything in the wild is a threat, even potential mates in the spider world. Perhaps less so within his species. The true reason for his skill is tactical analysis and seguing almost instantaneously to exploit or create an advantage over an opponent, sometimes foregoing an obvious weakness for a guaranteed escape or ending of his victim.
STRINGS AND DANCE[]
Expert
While not exactly a talent that means much, Ralrak's genus routinely hunts other spiders by plucking their webs- something that translates extremely well to string instruments. He can quickly learn the nuances of a particular new instrument and play it masterfully, his own silk included. Another natural talent of his genus is courtship dances, often being inventful and unique, he can dance quite well- and with nonhuman articulation, has a wider array of potential movement than your average joe.
TAILORING[]

Ralrak is new to the world of macro silk weaving, but basic skills translate well- and having more digits to articulate means more intricate designs more quickly- he can knit quickly and on the fly, but he still needs practice and to consider what he is going to make and the best way forward.

ARACHNID SENSES[]

Ralrak naturally has the senses of a spider, granting him above average eyesight, tactile awareness, and olfactory as well as auditory sharpness. Changes in air pressure or vibrations in the air or ground, even subtle can be detected and sourced almost immediately, darkness poses no obstacle nor would sightlessness be too much hassle for him to overcome, he can also taste and smell particles in the air with specialized hairs on his body.
CHITIN REINFORCEMENT[]

Ralrak has a chitinous mesoskeletal layer formed under his skin as well as protective hairs that assist in mitigating direct impacts and sharp surfaces, twice has hard as human bone. He can quickly seal off or mitigate wounds against his body, and any damage is often lost when he next molts.
ELEMENTAL EVOCATION[]

A part of being Yokai is having decent control of the natural elements, being borne of such things themselves. While powerful, potent enough to glaze a room in an ice sheet, manifest a concentrated gale to steal someone's breath, or spawn a pyroclasm with little warning. These talents are a thing Ralrak does not enjoy using without dire need. Should someone irk him to the point of using magic, it is a feat in its own right. They are also particularly draining, drawn into being by varying degrees of incantation that reflects the potency of what is being done and sometimes requiring somatic cantrips to further refine. Use of the aforementioned examples may leave Ralrak in a state of exertion for a few hours or perhaps a couple days, becoming more drastic the more frequently such feats are accomplished- which is mostly where his hesitance stems. His level of tolerance will gradually rise as his reserves do from draining the essence of other beings, and doing so while enervated will hasten his recovery if not increase his own power.
JOROGUMO GLAMOUR[]

The true weapon of jorogumo is disguise, a perfect disguise. A psionic field surrounds Ralrak, giving all the impression he is a human, even disguising his few nonhuman visual traits. He can also direct this glamour to beguile and attract people, potential prey, into a sense of security and safety in his presence- or lead them into believing their surroundings are something else entirely. This seduction and beguiling effect is significantly more difficult with more people present at once, however the passive disguise is a state of being. There are rumours that those envenomed by a Jorogumo become much more susceptable, or can be trapped in the glamour permanently if not assisted.
NONLINEAR LOCOMOTION[]

True to spider physiology, Ralrak can traverse along solid surfaces such as walls and ceiling in total silence- barring clothing which may make sound independant of his movements.
POWER DRAIN[]
Basic
When Ralrak feeds he not only adds sustainance from his prey, but also leeches at their psyche and essence, imbuing himself with a portion of their power to his own. It is a permanent increase in his rested power and a small trickle; unless the victim was truly powerful there would be little notable difference from one sitting. With repeat meals from the same source, he might even acquire some of their own talents- a shadow of the original that may become formidable with time, practice, and routine imbibement. It is not something that would be made inherantly more useful than his natural talent with even a handful of months time fully dedicated to rearing unless drastic measures were taken. This is not a physical action and the victim need only be in close proximity for a long enough time, half an hour at minimum, and what is usually taken is not enough to be of note.
SILK AND FANG[]

Part of a hunter's arsenal is versatile tools, and spiders possess multiple. Ralrak's silk is stronger than steel by volume- being larger than most spiders he can weave large quantities quickly, a dress would only take hours to tug out and weave. His fangs are hardened like his chitin and combined with his strength can easily puncture most solids as well as an angry icepick- with venom. Chitinous spikes also form within his fingertips, including thumbs as well as his heels and the balls of his feet for more defensive or precise work, as deadly as his fangs.
SPEED AND STRENGTH[]

Ralrak possesses strength greater than a human, owing in no small part to his humanoid form not being built like an average person. A lymph-controlled hydraulic endoskeleton can move his limbs more quickly than muscles and can work in unison with his muscular system for greater yield.
UNIVERSAL TONGUE[]

A lesser effect from Ralrak's state of being is that their speech is always able to be understood- but this effect does not go both ways. At best he can 'get the gyst' of a foreign language speaker.
ADVANTAGES[]
PERFECT BODY[]
Ralrak's body, save for times when soft-shelled, is always in top shape and condition, requiring no exercize or maintenance of that sort to retain his strength.
WEAKNESSES[]
KILLING INTENT[]
For those sensitive to such things, and aren't already disarmed by his demeanour or his passive glamour, every single action, his mere presence spouts volumes of the intent to snuff out the life around him- not in a way that is antagonistic, it stems from a need for self preservation.
MOULTING[]
Every month Ralrak must replace their mesoskeleton and skin for growth, this process takes atleast a couple days in optimum conditions. It may fail if the area is extremely humid or arid. His strength and toughness wane during this period, as well as his speed while his mesoskeleton hardens.
PARANOIA[]
Ralrak's life has been filled with everything attempting to end him at every step of the way, he is slow to trust outsiders and is always on-edge when aware of the presence of others, be they an open threat or not. One can never be too careful, no?
PREY[]
Ralrak feeds on the nutrients and psionic energies of people, almost a requirement to fuel his new form and as such he will never be too far away from civilization. Unless a snack is convinced to foster him away from the masses.
STATIC EYES[]
Ralrak's eyes do not rotate much in their sockets, not entirely unlike an owl. This gives him poor depth perception while static and as such he may appear unusual to the outside, unraptured observer with twitchy head movements or the occasional neck rolling. Though usually his glamour obscures these movements entirely and substitutes them with appropriate eye shifting. One can never mistake his gaze being upon them, however.
There's something to be said about the life of a spider. In 1600, a rather unnotable male crawled free from his egg somewhere in Queensland. And he lived a very average spider life. A long and fruitful one, actually it was extremely long. Time passed as an arbitrary concept that the spider had no grasp of, who was it to say it lived long? One day he was captured, brought into captivity, brought into the hands of a human. A member of a witch coven that had gleaned his special nature, and he resided with her for a long time as well.
The time of the spider in the witch's hands was curious. The center of her practice, using him as a vessel for her will, an anchor of her power. He was well fed, kept care of. Some point later on, he changed hands, coming to reside in the care of a certain vampire as her pet. Well taken care of and fed here as well, nothing to complain for in the simplicity of it all. While the rest of the world was panicking over "Y2K", a different event happened when the ball dropped. The Spider underwent a metamorphosis, inheriting the humanlike traits of beauty and cunning gleaned upon him secondhand from his ... magical owners, taking on the essence and talents frequently experienced in the far east, of spiders that took the guise of women to lure prey to their demise. Only that Ralrak was notably not female.
It's been little over sixteen years since Ralrak obtained 'humanity', still in the care of the Vampire Taylor Finlay, assisting her where he could in a dynamic that outwardly changed to the needs of wherever they resided though at its core he still acts as pet spider.
